Wine and Tea Girls Trendy Holiday Tea!

I had the great privilege of attending another Modern Wine and Tea Girls chic tea party held at the Tea Lounge in Boca Raton, Fl. But first, my outfit- silk teal high-waist pants, chiffon soft mint tea green top with fringes running down the center of my back, paired with teal and pink floral sandals. Accessories included a skinny tan belt to compliment my waist, a chunky sliver bracelet, and long hanging antique necklaces. Quite exquisite I must admit! Now on to the event…

As I entered, scents of lotions, body scrubs, and delicate handmade soaps captured the essence of my nose. For a minute I got lost in the luscious scents only to bump into creators, Carolyn and Michael Byrd, for “Essential Reign”. Later on, to prove the products are indeed essential, Carolyn allowed a few wine-ista’s to sample the hand scrub. It left a soft smooth feeling and is 100% natural. Oh, yea and free of parabens too!  The certified formulator said, “If I don’t put it on my children, I won’t put it on you.”

Then in came Nata- the certified tea specialist a.k.a tea guru for Trend Tea Lounge! She entered walking with a tray carrying unique tea pots. To be honest, I’ve never seen a glass tea pot with a cylinder center meant to hold actual particles. My eyes widened with curiosity as she explained how to use this pot and all the healthy elements that came with it. First things first (you may already know) but herbal teas, such as greens, blacks, and whites, are caffeine free and loaded with antioxidants. The unique trait about the glass tea pot, is it brews loose leafs, meaning you’re getting the full tea; while tea bags only contains dust bits. Didn’t know that! I sampled the green tea mixed with real strawberry chunks with no sweetener but surrendered two minutes in asking for pure honey (even though it’s best to drink in purest form).

Next up- Oolong tea? Ok, what is Oolong tea? Only one of the teas where water can be added up to 5 times and tastes better at the third brew. I don’t really know how to describe the flavor other than it was mild and soft. My all-time favorite was the mango, pineapple, papaya, orange, and sapphire tea. Can we say exotic! The color was so rich and vibrant, with orange and yellow hues, as each fruit softened with its natural sweet flavors seeping into the hot water.

There was an exquisite menu that consisted of Mozzarella and Tomato Panini, Turkey and Cheese Croissant served with green salad. Of course, I indulged in the Panini and decided to try the chocolate green tea. But it doesn’t end there. Raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries awaited us in cute mini dishes along with sweet treats. As the evening matured, Shreese (the founder), organized several contests and I was a lucky winner of Artistry Champagne Light Up Lip Gloss! Omg. It’s lights up and leaves a refreshing tingle feeling on my lips.

What a wonderful gathering! I had a ball with my fellow Modern Wine and Tea Girls. Can’t wait for the next!
